ABOUT ASH

Ashley Wang never quite followed a conventional path.

Raised between Los Angeles, Hong Kong, New Jersey, and New York, her upbringing was a patchwork of classical violin recitals, academic pressure, and an early search for personal agency. What began as an interest in movement and food gradually evolved into a deeper inquiry into autonomy and self-expression.

Ash earned a pre-college diploma from the Manhattan School of Music and went on to study Neuroscience at Wheaton College (MA), inspired by two science teachers who shaped her curiosity early on. Though academically engaged, she often felt creatively stifled, until a summer program at the University of the Arts London gave her permission to explore new modes of thinking. After graduating, she moved to New York City, cycling through corporate roles in marketing before pivoting into the fitness industry. On a dare to herself, she quit her job and auditioned for SoulCycle (and got it in.) Not long after, she became an instructor at Barry’s Bootcamp as well.

In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, Ashley founded AshWangFit, her first coaching platform. From a small basement studio apartment in Manhattan, she hosted dozens of online fitness classes and donated proceeds to organizations like Food Bank NYC and Safe Horizon. Movement, at the time, was a form of resilience, particularly in moments of collective uncertainty.

In 2025, she created REITERATIVE, a first-of-its-kind, self-led nutrition e-course that teaches users how to achieve any nutrition goal in a flexible, truly-sustainable way that starts with uncovering the user’s past.

Today, Ash is a certified Strength & Conditioning Coach (CSCS), Precision Nutritionist (PN-L1), and founder of REITERATIVE, an online course designed to help individuals develop sustainable nutrition habits through self-guided reflection. Her professional range also spans modeling, brand partnerships, Olympic weightlifting, running, and writing. She recently wrote Alimentary: a cookbook & nutrition manual that fuses wellness with her cultural memories, keeping accessibility at the forefront of recipes.

Her career has been shaped by a refusal to choose between disciplines and a desire to help others build lives that are self-defined and fully expressed.
